PUBLIO MUÑOZ RODRIGUEZ
RIP (1938 – 2016)
Born in the district of Pocrí, province of Los Santos, Republic of Panama on July 4, 1938. He obtained his qualification in 1964, Panama.
He studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Panama (LL.B., 1964). He had a long career in the Judiciary and in various public positions, such as Officer of the Supreme Court of Justice from 1960 to 1963, Deputy Secretary-General of the Attorney General's Office (1967-1969), Legal Advisor of the General Comptroller of Panama (1969-1970), Substitute Judge of the First Judicial Circuit (1966-1971), Legal Advisor and Director of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (1975-1981), Substitute Magistrate in the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (1978-1982), Magistrate of the First Superior Court of Panama (1990-1991) and Substitute Magistrate of the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (1999-2002).
In 1982, he began his career in private practice, joining our firm in 1985. After fulfilling his civic duty in a difficult time for our country, from 1990 to 1991, he returned to the firm to continue his private practice with his beloved partners.
"The law is exercised using common sense" was one of his most memorable phrases. He contributed to the professional field with his professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
